Past Presidents
Since its establishment in 1953, the LGA President originally held a one-year term, which was extended to two consecutive years in 1980. To date, the Association has had a total of 49 Presidents in its history, including 48 Past Presidents and Mr. A. Smith from Cambuslang G.C., who will serve as President for 2025-2026.
Each President has brought a unique vision and expertise, playing a vital role in the growth and development of the association. The position of LGA President is not only an esteemed honour but also carries significant responsibility, as they navigate the Association through various challenges and opportunities.
