The association have a long tradition of supporting charities in the local area and we continue to do this with fundraising tied into every competition entry fee we charge, and through the raffling of donated prizes from our member clubs at our Celebration nights at the end of each season.
St Andrews Hospice
Our longest standing charity partner the hospice offers care and support to patients and their families tailored to meet their individual needs. Their goal is to provide physical, psychological, social and spiritual care for our patients in a calm, peaceful and welcoming environment.

Prostate Cancer Scotland
Nearly 1 in 2 men in Scotland will be affected by prostate disease at some stage of their lives and 1 in 10 are likely to develop prostate cancer. Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men in Scotland. The charities Mission is to ‘inform, educate, support, campaign and advance on prostate disease in Scotland’.
We began our support for Prostate Scotland in 2019 after our then Presidents lifelong friend developed the condition and have incorporated their “Prostate Man” into many facets of our golfing endeavours. He is often seen as our 1st hole tee markers or a nearest the hole marker in our competitions. The information packs supplied by the charity team have been invaluable in spreading the message regarding the early detection of this highly curable condition.

Alzheimer Scotland
Our newest charity partner, we started supporting Dementia Scotland at the beginning of the 2023 season. Sadly we are all likely to be impacted by this terrible condition in some shape or form so we are delighted to support the team in there work in any way we can and look forward to a long and lasting partnership.
